Glass jars are one my favourite bits of general household waste. I’ve got loads of them, all sizes, which I use as storage for buttons and beads – plus stacks more just sitting empty waiting to be revived into something pretty or useful. Before I go on, if you’re keen to recycle glass jars into amazing things, then have a look at my board on Pinterest here – I’ve collected loads of super ideas from all those creative souls out there – enjoy!
A quick and easy way to transform them is to spray paint them and use as a vase for handfuls of garden flowers, or decorate and use as a candle holder.
A great gift for someone special - spray paint a glass jar and then once dry tie a manila luggage label to a length of string and then wind around the rim of the jar and tie into a bow. Write a special message on the label and fill the jar with a bunch of fresh lavender.
Beaded candle holder – thread beads onto craft wire and wind around a spray painted glass jar.
